Fraud Prevention Policy
Here at Fairy Tale Treasures we look for certain patterns in member behavior to insure that fraud is kept under control and to protect our status at the advertising networks. It is important to us to follow the guidelines suggested by the advertisers and to prevent fraud every step of the way.
Advertisers are looking for customers. Advertisers make sites like Fairy Tale Treasures possible -- without the advertisers there would be no offers to complete.
There are certain consumer behavior patterns that may signal a fraud alert. Just as your credit card company may call you from their fraud prevention department when they see a possible problem, we here at Fairy Tale Treasures need to look for the same type of behavior patterns in preventing fraud against the advertisers who have generously provided the incentives for our site. All accounts are verified by ip address, telephone number and/or physical address.
The following member behavior patterns may cause your account at Fairy Tale Treasures to come 'under review' -- which means your payment will be held until the advertisers have had the opportunity to thoroughly investigate the transactions to insure their validity. If the transactions prove to be valid you will be paid the incentives offered by the advertisers. If the transactions prove to be invalid or fraudulent your account will be deleted and you will forfeit all earnings.
1. Any member who registers and completes a large amount of 'paid' trial offers within a few hours timeframe will be put 'on hold' until we are able to further verify your identity and validity of the transactions in question. Why do we have this policy? Typically, most customers do not whip out a credit card and charge a large amount of items within a short amount of time. If a member registers with us and then immediately completes a large amount of paid trial offers within hours of joining that is not typical consumer behavior. You may indeed be a valid member purchasing a large amount offers -- if so, you will have absolutely no problem receiving your earned incentives -- however, we will need to review the account and transactions to insure you are who you say you are and are using valid information for each transaction -- including a valid credit card.
2. Completing a large amount of paid offers of the same type at the same time. For instance, if within a few hours of joining Fairy Tale Treasures a member orders every Ebay, Google, and Real Estate offer available on the site we will automatically signal your account as a possible problem. You are free to complete all these offers over a period of time -- but doing so all within a few hours time does pose the risk of the advertiser coming to the conclusion that you are only ordering the product for the incentive offered and not for the true value of the product.
3. Ordering a product and then immediately cancelling the product. You are free to use the various 'money back guarantees' of the many different products offered on Fairy Tale Treasures. However, the advertisers are providing the incentive for members to 'try' the product -- to give it an honest try! It is okay to cancel a product which you have tried and you do not like, or which has not met your expectations. It is not okay to order the product and cancel it 24 hours later.
4. Using a proxy will result in an automatic deletion of your account. If you do not know what a proxy is then you probably do not need to worry about this problem. Members who use a proxy are using a device to change their ip address and thereby complete an offer more than once or to hide their identity. Most honest members will never need to worry about this detail. The use of ANY type of web accelerators is not allowed and results in deletion of your account.
5. Having more than one account at Fairy Tale Treasures will cause both accounts to be deleted. Allowing a friend who is also a member of Fairy Tale Treasures to use your computer will also place your account at risk of deletion. Do NOT sign into your account on any other computer that may be used by another member of FTT.
6. You must have your own verified paypal account. Two members may not share a paypal account. The information in your member profile must be accurate. Any inaccurate information results in immediate account deletion and cash balance forfeited.
7.
Completing the same offers at other incentive sites is not allowed. Each offer (any offer -- freebies, surveys, contests, paid, etc) may be completed once ever on any website on the internet. If a member is found completing the same offers at other incentive sites their account will be deleted. It is okay to belong to other incentive sites ... however, you must keep track of which offers you have completed at each site and be sure to only complete each offer once!
8. Information provided in each offer must be valid. No false names, addresses or phone numbers. Advertisers are looking for leads for new customers ... not bogus information. Your phone number (when requested) is required -- not a free phone number obtained at PrivatePhone.
You must use a valid email address.
Disposable emails such as 2prong are not permitted and will result in forfeit of all your earnings and deletion of your account. We recommend the use of yahoo emails and/or gmail email addresses -- as they tend to work well for completing the offers.
If you change your profile information at Fairy Tale Treasures to a completely different person your account will be deleted -- accounts are non-transferable.
9. Unauthorized use of promotional codes. We often grant promotional codes for certain activities. Anyone found using a promotional code for which they were not given permission to use will have their account deleted and forfeit all earnings. 10. If you have been found completing duplicate offers on other incentive sites -- even if you have not duplicated on FTT -- your account will be deleted and all earnings forfeited. We do not condone fraudulent activity and any fraud activity on any site is reason for deletion.
For the vast majority of our members the above situations do not pose a problem. However, these policies are necessary to combat fraud at all levels and we need to strictly enforce these policies.
